TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE AND FORMAT (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
Competitors will be allowed to bring their own control method. CTWC will also supply arcade-style controllers for any competitors that wish to use them. CTWC will permit competitors to bring their own game controller or keyboard (BYOC). BYOC devices should be connected via USB in order to ensure quick and smooth setup, and to prevent unintended tournament interruptions that could occur with wireless devices.
Tournament format may be adjusted to incorporate new game content added since last year’s event. Competitors should be prepared to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of game modes. See the 2025 ruleset for examples of types of game modes that may be used.

Players will be presented the option of several modes to play. Each player will choose one mode to “ban,” removing it from those eligible to play in the match. The player with the lower seed will announce their ban first. The player with the higher seed will announce their ban second.
When making a “ban” selection, players should consider the potential advantages/disadvantages of Standard Rule or TGM Rule in each of the other specified modes.
After the ban phase, the remaining two modes will be played. The player with the higher seed will choose which mode to play first.
If each player wins one game of the two selected, the deciding round will be played in the remaining mode.
