Alex T

Alex T

USA

Once known as the young hypertapping prodigy making his name during the pandemic, Alex has always been considered a contender for the world championship. Previously claiming the record for the youngest person to max out the game, Alex T’s youth perhaps helped him become the fastest hypertapper of all time. Participating at the world championships since 2021, Alex’s rise as the premier hypertapper exuded the confidence he felt that would eventually excel him to the top.

He refused to switch to rolling for nearly a year until it had been introduced, believing his tapping skills were still superior to rolling. Once he saw that the bar was getting set higher and higher, Alex knew the time had come to transform his playstyle if he truly wanted the championship.

The switch to rolling was not a problem, however, as he would claim many world records with the playstyle, such as being the 4th person ever to “crash the game”, one of the very few to get to the “Green Wall” of level 235, and eventually becoming the 2nd player ever to “Rebirth” the game; reaching the final level of 255 and wrapping back around to level 0. These achievements helped Alex reach the ultimate goal he wanted, winning the world championship in 2024 & 2025, which includes his perfect run, going undefeated in the 2025 tournament.

Alex T is by far, the strongest classic Tetris player we’ve seen to date. Only time will tell if someone else can step up to plate and challenge this absolute legend.
